1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logo.
I actually had more fun that I thought I would creating my logo. I wanted to incorporate my name without actually spelling it out. I decided to use my initial and some of my favorite colors to make it stand out. From the start, I had the image in my head on how I wanted the letters to overlap to create a united image. I thought the process was a little difficult at first because the image I had in my head was not what was being reflected on the paper. However after a few attempts, I was able to satisfy myself with the final product that I created.
 2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in the logo creation.
The resources that were given definitely helped me with the process. I was able to understand what it takes to create a logo and the process that goes along with it. Since the logo is to represent me, I wanted to use the letters in my name. Not only are they my initials, but the also represents uplifting factors in my life such as faith, strength and success. I did not have to think that much about the basic idea as far as the letters, but the process for me was more how to make it look. I wanted it to stand out not only with the colors but with the dark outline used. I also wanted to use block letters to make it look 3D.
 3. What was the most important discovery you made in the creation of your logo?
The most important discovery I made was that there are a lot of trial and error before getting to the final product. Looking at logos from an audience perspective, It was easy for me to think that there was not much work put into the creation of logo designs because of how good logos looked after they are done. However, actually creating my logo made me realize that there can be frustration when creating a logo, but keeping your eye on the vision is what allows you to get through the process. I was also able to think about what actually represents who I am and how I want people to perceive that through my work.
 4. What is the most important information you learned from watching the videos, powerpoint, and reading material  for this project? What is your opinion of the videos?

From all the materials given to me including the reading, power point and videos I was able to learn a lot. I was able to understand what a logo really is and see that it is not just what it looks like in the end. I got to go on a journey and see the process and the time that goes into it. Another important information I learned was the brainstorming that corporation put into the vision that they have. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to see the process behind creating logos specifically for companies. The information I received was helpful because I got to see the selection process and how companies decide the ideas that they would like to develop further.

Comments

  1. I think your logo is well crafted and made very specific to what you want the world to see as you! For this second project, making a logo to represent ourselves with any media, we were able to send a vibe and a feeling through a logo, and the vibe yours gives makes it interesting to look at.
