blog 4 ( Color Wheel and Value Scale)
Value Scale
Color Wheel
1. Discuss what you thought about creating the Value Scale and Color Wheel.
Creating the Value Scale and the Color Wheel was actually very fun. I thought that it would be tedious at first but it turned out to be simple and exciting. Doing this project reminded me of when I created my art projects in high school. Although at first I could not perfect them, I eventually was able to make creations that I was satisfied with.
2. Which media did you enjoy working with the best and why?
I did enjoy creating the Color Wheel more than the Value Scale. I liked seeing how vibrant the colors were and how they blended well on the wheel. The value scale just did not give me the proudest feeling after I finished creating it. Working with the colors brought me more excitement because of how it stood out to me.
3. What was the most important discovery in the creation of these studies?
The most important discovery in the creation of the studies was that there has to be a certain amount of each color mixed in order to get a perfect creation of the color you are striving to get. Just a little bit too much of one color or not enough can give a way different shade of the color you might be attempting to get.
4. What is the most important information you learned from watching the videos for this project? What is your opinion of the videos?
I thought that the videos were very insightful. Since I am not a person that knows a lot about art, it was great that I got the opportunity to get introduced to information that was mentioned in the videos. I was able to see a vivid process to help me create the Value scale and the Color Wheel. I was able to easily follow along, which made everything easier for me. The most important information I learned from the videos is that blue, red and yellow are not the primary colors. In fact, yellow, magenta and cyan are the real primary colors.
